Maybe I am being paranoid - but is something wrong?

I put up adsense on my blog about 2 weeks ago. I manage about 100-150 unique visitors a day. Typically I would get 2-3 clicks a day; but lately (for the past 4 days) i have gotten 0 clicks. 0 clicks total for 4 days. I can't help but wonder if something is wrong. Is there a way I can find out, other than clicking on my own ad which I dont want to do.

Does anyone know what could be wrong? Can you please take a look at the blog and give me some tips?

well it's not your placement, that all looks fine. You have it blended very nicely.

 

There's nothing wrong, and don't start "testing" your ads by clicking on them, or asking your friends and family to click on them, and then posting that you did this on a public forum. (Google has eyes on all the popular webmaster forums, and DP is one of the most popular.)

The truth is, clicks come and go, even for established sites. If your average was 4 clicks a day, it's not such a stretch to get 0 clicks for a few days straight. For example, one of my site will get 600 clicks one day, 800 clicks the next, 500 clicks the day after that, etc. So you see, for this site of mine the fluctuations are even higher than yours. What I'm trying to say is, "it happens", especially with Adsense. Earnings will be high one day, low the next, etc. That's why you get 50,000 threads everyday from people wondering "is something wrong with Adsense?" because their earnings are lower than usual for a specific day.

It happens, don't be alarm. Just keep adding quality content and building links and getting more traffic. Blogs such as yours (random in nature) are notoriously low money-earners, so the more traffic you can direct over, the more chances of clicking.

 

Hmm... I was wondering how much revenue these 2 to 3 clicks give you ... I am new to adsense and trying to figure out what the commissions can be ...

Don't bother making a thread to ask this question, because the answer will always be, because it's the God's honest truth: "it depends on what kind of site you have". Some sites can make dollars with a single click, others are lucky to get a few cents. It's all about what your site is "selling" (i.e. what ads show up), which is determined by what is on your site -- i.e your site's topic.

 

why don't you put adsense code below the "home" "about" "contact" and over the main "What are people searching for" . The more adsense code the more probability that you will have more clicks. You can have up to 3 adsense codes. Use it.

 

I would advise you to put an additional ad unit just below the navigation.
Ads at the right bottom generally receive less clicks.
Also your adsense seem to be showing only general ads.
You can add more "interesting topics" which can get better targeted ads and this will get you more clicks

I've gone from 1XX clicks to 0 clicks recently on some of my more popular sites. It seems to me that certain internet sites have seen a decrease in traffic lately. I'm not sure of the reason, but if I try to find any of my more popular pages through common Google searches, whereas I used to be in the top 6-15 sites, now I'm down to 20-30 and the top 1-15 sites are all spam or splog sites. I'm guessing that some new SEO has really taken off, and Made-for-Adsense people are capitalizing on it.

Don't fret -- Adsense does a good job of pricing the spam sites out eventually, and they move on to the new topic of the month.
