I realise this is a big ask.....but have you noticed what the difference in traffic is from the various positions the term has been in.

It would be very interesting to note the difference between position three and position eight for example....and all the other computations

The site gets traffic from a great many keywords so the only parameter I could report, I guess, would be the number of hits from Google for the keywords sleeping bags.

HOWEVER, I have been in this business for many years and traffic/sales fluctuates weekly so it would be very difficult to extract changes due to SERP position from changes due to normal seasonal variations.

Example: Big surge prior to Memorial Day - end of June through first two weeks in July virtually dead. Days of the week also have there very own variations. This week Monday and Tuesday were absolutely dead ( I had to check to see if the site was working ok) but then Wednesday - all hell broke loose. The site's position for those days were #8, #7, #8, respectively. The drastic variation in traffic had nothing to do with position.

So, you see, comparing a few days at position number three to a few days at position number eight would reveal nothing interpretable.

I dropped a position or two on some keyword positions where my site is way higher in allinanchor than competition. Gotta look at the pages to see if there is some content issues. My allinanchor ranking is based on a lot of anchor text bls. Curious if anyone is seeing a reduction in the impact of anchortext?

There must be another reason, I really doubt anchor text's value would ever decrese
