Meeting with client - Help / Advice please !

I have got a meeting in the morning with a client who wants a ecommerce store.

What sort of questions should i ask him ?

What should i tell him , show him ?

Any good ideas of what things to cover in the meeting ?

Have you ever done a ecommerce type store before? Are you able to do something like this? No offense - but doing an ecommerce store can be pretty extensive.

You should show him your work. And find out what he wants the cart to do. Find what what gateway he will be using to process the transaction.

 

It's nothing that difficult, I'm sure you can do it. Just be concise and direct to the point.

Lay out "problems" that you solved.

 

Yea i do it quite alot to be honest , but just intrested if any of you have some sort of set layout of questions which you ask your clients.

 

I know this sounds really obvious but I often find it useful to ask clients which sites they like and what they like about those sites.

 

Yeh thats what i usually do, im just putting together a list of sites which i feel will be there main competitors and also some ppc stats.
