Membership Section For My Site

I have a site that is powered through wordpress, and I would like to setup a section for members only. I want for a lot of the content to be free, but some of the content to be accessed only by paying members. I also want to include a register/log-in system for viewers of the site.

I've looked for wordpress plug-ins and widgets that could do this, but haven't been successful. So could anyone help me out? Any help would be appreciated.

 

I use the "Absolute Privacy WordPress plugin" at www.johnkolbert.com
It works good for me. I Lock down my whole site except for the front page which is also the login page. New users can register and I have to accept them before they can actually get on.

Using what method would you like to charge the customers? Paypal?

 

I personally use my own membership platform which is a combination of html / css and vbulletin.
