Microsoft Vs. Apple?

Before MS only focus on software but now thy already engage in producing smartphones thus I think Microsoft still dominating...

 

Apple have been without steve jobs for a while now, he was a great marketeer but we need to remember he did not solely create the iphone or the ipad but marketed them and yes he was the face of apple but one man doesn't make a team, apple still have great innovators in a team without Mr jobs it is a sad loss but the world has to keep spinning.

The funny thing is that people usually tries to compares apples (literally) with pineapples just to say.

There is no point of comparison at all if the analysis is based on software, performance and the like because Microsoft and Apple are different platforms.

Certainly the only point of comparison is that they are companies targeting to the same markets offering similar products including computers, tablets, gadgets and so on.

In this matter, Apple is undoubtedly the big winner as they evolved and implemented a successful marketing campaign to get their products well positioned, as opposed to the poor effort of Microsoft developing software and product that don't match at all people's expectations.

 

Design wise, I'm a big fan of Apple. After using an Apple smart phone or tablet, I don't want to switch to Windows or Android. You can say I'm an Apple geek

 

Microsoft has been hot favorite for PC gamers, world-outreach and teenagers for this reason. Microsoft XP was interesting and Windows 7 was hot. But due start button issue at Windows 8, there has been downslide and overtly nature of windows application development.

Apple has been major brand, with new trendy feel on the hands, of a teenager. It is good and long lasting brand.

But I agree, being Microsoft fan. It functions well, improvise and have become big market for other industries like Anti-virus.

 

No offense, but if your riddled with constant bugs, viruses and never ending crashes, you have serious computer literacy issues. I've used Windows since the inception and never have had these problems that everyone claims to have all the time. How about some personal computing responsibility?

Microsoft have dominated the corporate market for a long time. Their corporate solutions for integrating servers to end users is really the best out there where no other Operating System is capable of doing as of yet. We seen Apple's attempt to push its server OS but now seems diminished. Apple got a lot of fanatic users. So does other Operating Systems out there.

MS is losing some grip with it's end users who converted using Mac OSx however it is ever strong on Corporate Users becoz no other operating system has established that

 

1. Microsoft started its rampage on computer world domination long before apple
2. people were already used to Microsoft before apple came along and most people are not looking for change, maybe for updates. but not change.

 

This battle will go on forever because it really depends what you want as to which you'll prefer. If you're a creative person and want style and performance and don't care about the limited control you have in terms of messing about with technical settings, you'll love apple. If you're a programmer and you need to be able to control everything, install all the software you need in an unrestricted way and run everything the way you like it, you'll love Microsoft. It's all about personal preference.
