I'm pretty sure you didn't do any serious research in the last 10 years, why would you ask medical question on a web master forum? Have you tried all the doctors in where you live? Could be brain cancer?

I've heard that caffine can help alievate migrane headaches. Maybe have a cup of coffee and see if that reduces your symptoms?

I have really bad headaches, but it's due to a near-fatal bike accident I had as a child.

My best remedy is sleep and meds. Not much else you can do unless it is serious. I would say if it's been happening for such a long time, I would go to a doctor!

Aren't you a little ray of sunshine?

Seriously - get referred to a neurologist but the basics are pretty simple
    • don't get overtired or over stressed
    • identify what your triggers are - food? lighting? noise?
    • ensure you stay physically fit - not only does it keep your body healthy it also keeps the blood vessels in the brain working - and the endorphins are useful too
    • take any medication prescribed to prevent your migraine, don't miss a day or anything dicky like that
    • when you feel a migraine coming on take your imigran or whatever is prescribed
    • surrender to it... it might just be that migraines are your lot in life, could be a whole lot worse
And talk to a real doctor, online help is dubious - my pointers work for me but my migraines aren't the same as yours and what I think is "basic" may not work for you.

And sometimes that is all they can do. Like the guy with the dud knee that aches or the person with skin allergies there are times when you have to accept that something will always be with you and try to find ways to live with it. Look around you, you'll find that many people you know have a "thing" that disrupts their life. This is yours, claim it, learn to manage it and it will become less disruptive.

    Well, blow me down ;)

The best way to prevent migraines is to learn what triggers (sets off) your migraines and then try to avoid these triggers. Take a break from activities that provoke a migraine, such as using the computer for a long time. If you know that certain foods trigger your migraines, try to avoid them. Some people find that cutting back on caffeine intake or drinking a lot of water can help prevent migraines.Make a plan for all the things you have to do — especially during stressful times like final exams — so you don't feel overwhelmed when things pile up. Regular exercise can also reduce stress and make you feel better. If your doctor has prescribed medication, always have a dose on hand. Then if you feel a migraine coming, take your medicine. You can also try lying down in a quiet, dark room until the pain starts to go away.Because migraines are so different for different people, it helps to keep a headache diary and get to know what provokes migraines in your own case. The more you understand your headaches, the better prepared you can be to fight them.

I don't think this forum may help a lot. Look at webMD or legitimate medical resources, look also at pubMed to find latest researches for migraine. Go to doctor!

I have the experience for the prevention of migraine disease.Do not eat late, because if that happens then you have a stomach ulcer, and it may hamper the head (migraine). Thanks
