    I wonder what he's going to do with the remaining 1000. I think he'll probably auction them off on ebay or charge 10x or even 100x the price :)

    I'm just glad I managed to get mine a few hours ago, I was a little late, but the site isn't even online yet so it didn't really matter.

    Nope, he said he's not going to start another one, and I don't think he'll ever generate more cash from the same idea (ie. Adsense on the site).

    I don't see that this means it won't change your PR

    I don't know about PR but I have read that those who have tried it are happy with the amount of traffic that it produces for their outlay.

    What that says is that the pixel links will not pass any PR to the pages they link to.

    Even if they did pass PR, it would be close to zero: Count the number of outgoing links on that page. Look at the PR of that page. IF the links passed PR (and they don't - see above), the value would be:

    .85 * {PR of the pixel page} / {total number of outgoing links on the page}

    As to the traffic such a thing produces, of course "big banner" sites there gets some (and they paid a lot also), but what about the other microscopic squares? Many surely didn't get one visit!

    I don't see what there is to stop pagerank being allotted (unless pageranck doesn't follow links in a map, and I really hope it does)

    Hehe, with 1million unique within the last 48 hours, that's 1 per pixel, so even the smallest squares get roughly 100. Obviously some people don't click, some click 10 times... but I'm sure everyone got enough traffic or the site wouldn't be famous.
