i don't know. i think i would have gone back to school in the heat of the hype. the parties. the girls. he'd be the king of the campus. i mean, it's got to be fun to be a semi-celebrity. matt leinart went back to USC for his fifth year instead of taking the NFL's money in the draft. and HE had a chance at losing it all if he got hurt.

Ditto all that ... although I'll add he'll obviousely have a tough time topping this one - the (sustained) publicity on this one (and final $$$ numbers) has been insane. Maybe he'll get into SEO and sign up with DP - would be fun to have an "Alex" along with an "Alek"

I would like to see his grade report. I think he's a genious for the idea, but stupid for letting all those people down who advertised with him to support his education. I'm sick of hearing about him and his idea.

I think he was great with processing his idea, but that's disappointing that he didn't follow up on the purpose of his site.

Yeah but how many people who bought pixels did so strictly for the purpose of funding his college? I imagine a lot of people did it because it was an interesting idea, and most did it to be part of the hype when it took off.

I doubt many of those dollars were strictly because of his collegiate aspirations, regardless of what he said it was for...

Depending on the offers, it may not make sense to go to school. He can always go back to school later, and/or do it in conjuction with something else.

What are these offers based on? He came up with an incredible idea, but does that make him truely intelligent? $1,000,000 dollars doesn't last a lifetime anymore.

I agree. The school angle got him the publicity. The pixels were purchased for the perceived benefits to the people purchasing them

Well for the few that supported his education, they should be disappointed. Even Shaq got an education.

The guy is essentially set for life. Not jsut form the money but the top-notch HUUUGE job offers. But he kinda decieved his follwers by not continuing college since that was the whole point of the site to pay for college.

I am tired this pixel craze. It pisses me off.

I'm sure there is at least 1, after all his family bought the first 1,000 pixels.

Probably not. They were all jumping on the bandwaggon. There are a lot of people very envious of him though.

I sense envy, NRL media. Try to just ignore the story. Dont dwell on it. Im sure his family count be prouder, really. I mean he is set for life. What college education guarantees that?

No envy here, just disappointed in his deception. If you say your doing it for a cause, stick with it. That's all.

It keeps the fundamental idea stronger.

It was a great idea - who wouldn't want to think of that?

I guess it is up to another creative individual to come up with a new idea that doesnt involve pixels/grids/millionxyz since that is already played out...

Don't be surprised if he turns up here as pixeltutor, changes his member name to AlexDamman and then to Pixelmaster, and starts hijacking threads to promote his websites :D
