    Hello folks.

    I am a new Android developer and I am looking for an idea of an app I should build which people will need and use on everyday basis. Something that is needed around the world.

    Can you suggest something for which you want to be able to use your phone but can't currently because there is no good app for it?

    I want an app (for Android or iOS) that will monitor the gold and silver spot price (from Kitco.com), and then sound an alarm when spot drops below/above a certain price.
    There are plenty of gold and silver spot price apps, but none of them have an alarm.
    Small niche I know :)

    Do you want to just play a sound, send a notification to your phone's top bar or create a new alarm in your phone's default clock app altogether? (I am talking about Android only, I don't know how things work on the iPhone)

    It's a great phone, especially the newly announced Galaxy Note (e.g. it's great for drawing), but I don't see how is this related to the thread.

    It's nice that you find it useful, but I was asking for things that you can't do with currently existing apps.

    Any of those, or all of those. As far as I know, the existing Android silver/gold apps can only send an email alert.

    i've an idea it might be a little bit complicated or hard for you as a developer, but you asked for ideas here's one :)

    to develop an app. which is like a reminder BUT the reminder goes on WHEN i'm in certain places...in other words the application should be working along with the GPS

    example:
    many times i'm at home and i notice that i'm out of toilet paper (or my toilet paper is almost finished)
    sometimes i write in my mobile what i need to buy so that when i go shopping i look at my list and see what i need.

    i want to make a reminder of buying toilet paper, and i want to assign this place on the map (the supermarket i always buy from) so that when i enter the supermarket the reminder pops up in my head!

    other idea:
    connect place with silent mode
    for example, I'm a Muslim, we usually make our phones on silent mode when we go to Mosque, so i want to tell my mobile that when i'm in this place to turn to silent! (of course again i'll choose the Mosque in the maps

    Other example,
    i want my phone to change the profile or the tune to lower level when i enter my office ;)

    if you want more ideas hire me and i will give you thousands of fresh ideas :D
