    Well...

Software - Photoshop, if you prefer M$ than Expression Web 2 (I use it - love it), if you hate M$ than Dreamweaver.

Inspiration - look for inspiration galleries like faveup or listings of best trends and websites each year - first visit Toxel for best resources of 2008 (google it)

Tutorials - highly recommend Lynda and TotalTraining - first check out the Inspiration Galleries - than watch the movies to get the information on how to roll with the designes.

    Good luck to you friend!

For software, I usually use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, ImageReady and Flash to develop different graphics and media designs. :)

As for the tutorial, I usually use w3c tutorials when I was just starting to develop sites.

Photoshop and Dreamweaver good to star for the right way, then you can learn ActionScript and use Flash. Too many things to learn but it's very funny.

I only use Photoshop. Although, when I am out of ideas, I google photoshop effect tutorials and I am always blessed with good findings, allowing me to create new effects to accomodate the design tremendously
