You do marketing and promote a free flash and arcade games website

Except adsense which affiliate programmes do you use to monetize your traffic/website ?

Dating, gambling, betting, online casinos, online poker, men's health ?

Is it a good niche to make some decent profits (even if the competition is tough) ?

(whatever is your traffic, whatever is your audience)

 

Most of the time people use adengage, adsense, ypn, and adbrite.

Talking to smaller arcade owners, it seems quite hard for them to make any money because the arcade industry is jam packed full of turnkey arcades that look the same and have the same games..

It is hard to get going in the arcade world when you are a small arcade and don't have anything unique.

Also, adsense doesn't pay too well with arcade sites.

If you get a lot of traffic, you may want to get advertisers from adbrite, adengage or adspace-auctions.com

I understand and I know it's really tough when starting for scratch - moreover with a turnkey arcades site (similar to many other ones)

Anyway, don't you feel it is a good "plus" in a network of websites (targeting mainly men) - when you do not have any product (website) like that ?

What I do not like about those turnkey arcades sites is that users can click in the games and go away from you very easily ...

And concerning monetization I never use systems allowing users to leave my websites for little money and I work 100% affiliate programmes

 

Free flash games and video market(youtube like) is simply oversaturated. Yes, there is still a hope to gain something. You should look for both CPM and CPC type of ads. One thing is this type of site eats lots of bandwidth. Initially, you might just able to cover for the hosting.
