Monetizing Newsletters?

    Does anyone have experience with monetizing newsletters? I have around 70 active subscribers right now, and am looking to monetize my newsletter after I get a couple of hundred more.

    If anyone has experience, let me know. Also let me know what kind of rates I can get for selling text links etc etc.

    It depends a good amount on the topic of the newsletter. One idea would be to find some affiliate program that is on the same topic and promote it in the newsletter. If it is a Clickbank product, for example, it would be best if (instead of just saying "buy this) you said something like "I have bought/used this and it is very useful...etc..." That should attract a good percentage of buyers, hopefully.
