I'll say your ad melt to much and is not "visible" enough.
You may opt for more also instead of one...
    My 2 cents

I would like to have a 468x60 below the main image on left side (female with laptop)

Secondly want to say 1, 2, 3, 4 image next to your ad unit at post for example http://bloggingit.info/why-do-leaves-change-color-in-the-fall/ is violating new terms of images next to ads, check this for more details... People getting banned for it so please remove it asap.

Please have another thread for yourself instead of Hijaking someones.

Glade you removed numbers from next to ad, i would have ad unit below top image which i think should work.

    Best of Luck.

my thought is that people watch the content, and the ads in the most right menu are to far away... put them above or below the article in a horizontal format...

The positioning looks good to me, but the ads don't currently seem to be relevant to the associated blogs. Try using adsense hints to highlight key words for the ads to pick up on.
Other than that, where is your traffic coming from? Unless it is targeted you won't see any results. I recently had 100,000 visitors in a day from Digg - and earned 1 cent. They all came to see an image I had hosted on my site, and weren't interested in the slightest in my other content. Untargeted traffic = worthless.

    Best of luck (Y)

Change the ad format. The 468 banner-type simply does not register. People skim over them without a moment's thought - make them 300x250 or something.

Looks better to me - perhaps not quite so pretty using the 300 box but there's no sense having ads on your site that no-one clicks. You'll need to give it some time now to see if you get any clicks.

The ads are definitely relevant to content.

I'd try getting rid of the "advertise on this site" link and see if that increases CTR. It did for me :)

 You really should familiarise yourself with adsense.

You need to log into your adsense account.

Choose 'My Account' > Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up > Edit

    Unlist your site.

i think you must move your ads to the top of the page .content is at the top your pages but ads are at the bottom of the pages. people are not coming to click to ads . people are coming to see your content;)
