    I beg to differ.

    ENGLISH is the most common language in the world. Mandarin Chinese or simply the Chinese language is largely used by native speakers and NOT almost everyone else in the world.

    Very few people OUTSIDE China knows how to speak, write or even understand Chinese and they would normally or commonly use ENGLISH as their 2nd language.
