Moving ads around helps ALOT!!

I use to have a link unit under the "sponsors" section on the right. It wasn't getting any clicks at all after about a month so I was planning on removing it completley. Then I thought, well I might as well try moving it just once to see how it works out before I jump to removing it.

Well Yesterday, around 1 PM I finally finished editing all of my pages with the ads in a new spot. Before that I had one click. When I came to check on the stats last night, I had 10 clicks!!! That isn't alot for alot of you I know, but for me that was alot!!!

Also, Saturdays are usually my worst days, not to mention that the new change had only taken affect about half way through the day. I know I shouldn't get too excited because it was only one day, but hopefully I will see a change throughout the week.

Just a note for anyone wanting to give up, MOVE THE ADS AROUND. I don't think its necessary to do it all the time, though I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. But if you feel your earnings are dropping or something, just try and switch them up a bit!

Very Good, it's a good technique that google talked about, because seeing the ad in the same place all the time will get the visitor blinded and he will never look at it, Thanks for sharing your experience .

Actually you placed the ads at a very good place.

On the News / Updates box I suggest you put Google ads as the most top followed by your news. and for that 3 images you had beside the ads. Use 2 quotes one (the blue one) and another random one. That might work a bit better.

That is just my 2 cent.

see, but thats the good think about the link ads. Even if someone clicks on it on accident, I'm not tricking them or anything. Because don't they have to make a second click for me to see any money?? So even if they accidentily click one of those links at the top, they can always hit back and be on there way.

But you click it because your are interested in what the link is saying right or at least what the link is going to offer.

Thats what ads is all about. Basicially I see that as doing a good deed to the viewer of the site as you give him/her more options but of course this can hurt your site at the same time. Unless you put there on purpose, CLICK HERE FOR MORE SITES!!!!11!! if not, I think that is fine and good.

if it was ME, i'd be careful about the images next to those ads! also.. why not replace your Firefox link at the bottom with a Firefox referral?

Man, I keep forgetting I even have the footer, I never even change the dates lol. That is a good idea though, I'll consider that.

Consider this: i make between $25-$50 in FF referrals every DAY

Of course my site is geared to people that want/need FF, so i'll get more clicks than a 'quotes site', but even if you get a few a week, that's better than throwing them away!

25$-50$/day is pretty impressive - what referral images/formats do you use, if I may ask?

Update: Third day in a row with $1.00 ++ earnings!! Hopefully this will be a constant thing. I'm also trying to advertise heavily since I'm updating my site alot in the next few weeks. Each day I plan to add a new section of quotes, so hopefully alot of visitors will be coming to the site!

Seriously should consider that picture thing..

It's against googles TOS to have them their without something that seperates the pics from the ads. Google is ban-happy these days, and I'm sure you don't want that..

I thought as long as they weren't like RIGHT next to the text it was ok. Like if it had some degree of seperation, which it does, that it would be ok?

I've posted a few topics in the past just to ask if the pictures were ok, and everyone said they were fine :/

You have blended the ads very well with your site. You need to put a border between the images and the ads...to stay with the terms.

Alright then, I'll try experimenting and see what works best with borders and what not. Thanks for the warning. Every time I've posted before there has usually been one person who has said something about the images but everyone else assured them it was ok.

Thanks!! I'm finally starting to make some consistent money, I don't want to get banned now lol!
