    Firefox is better by far. Firefox is open to the idea that there are people out there who can improve on their product. That's why there are so many add-ons now. So many tools compared to IE.

    Mozilla Firefox is the better than Internet Explorer because there are so many add-ons and tools available in Firefox and it is the fastest browser than the other browser.

    As you now know, each of these browsers carries with it unique features such as Firefox's internal spell-checking of web form entries. Since both products are seemingly so close feature-wise, I recommend you give them both a test run. There are no detrimental effects to having both browsers installed at the same time and you may find yourself using both for different purposes. You may also find that over time your allegiance will lie with one browser in particular.

    IE is the slowest, and least secure of all the major Browsers. I stopped using IE about 3 years ago and now just use Google Chrome. It's the fastest and most secure browser plus there are 1000's of fantastic addons and web apps for it.

    icebreaker, when I used IE, my browser would always crash. On the most simple of things, even just yahoo. Firefox is better than IE, but still not my favorite but I'd pick it over IE any day. FF is much faster than IE, and more secure, but Chrome is the most secure and has a bunch of very helpful add-on's that make using the Internet much easier. It's also full of spyware.
