    There's nothing wrong with the placement, it's only that the ads doesn't seem to blend in well. The top ad unit has different colors with the black and white combination, while you have also set the ad units to both display image and text ads.

    Decrease the header size, get a custom template and change the color theme of the adsense ads.
    Then, your blog can look more professional and can gain from adsense clicks :)
