    That's true, it is looking very strange! I do not know what to say! Some people have nothing to do with the design! I am not a critic but....

    ok no problems, im new in designing and sorry then,
    looks good in my firefox 3 - 1024 screen, but i should fix the design issues first & re-check in various browser & screen res, then back again soon.:eek:

    you can fix width attribute : 1000px for 1024 screen, give vertical bar 24px. And will be good

    While there's nothing wrong with the placement, I would advice you check out carefully whether using such borders to envelope your ad unit is actually allowed and not against the TOS.

    From google adsense support forum, I received this answer:

    Google allows background images like that. You don't want to do it to really "attract" attention to the ads but to make it fit into your design better. In my opinion, that seems to be what you're doing. The star may be a bit too much but only Google knows if it crosses the line or not.

    and I think that's OK, maybe I just need to reduce some borders and background color..
