My adsense is broken

My adsense earnings are terrible and I'm not sure what the problem is or how to fix it. Any suggestions or solution would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently using AdBrite, I was using adsense (with the same results). I switch to see if it made a difference, earning remained the same.

Page CTR - 0.17%
Page eCPM - $0.20
Earnings - $2.58

Is it that my placement is really bad?
I need more traffic?
Am I optimized for the wrong keyword(s)?
What am I doing wrong?

 

Adbrite is actually for high visits site... If you don' get at least 50K Hits daily.. don't bother with Adbrite.. they pay very low per click.. but it increase if you get high no of Visits.

 

I have no incentive to click on your ads. They are easily avoided and hardly noticable. For example on the latest.php page there's one stuffed way over on the side and one up top. The one on the side I hardly notice and the one at the top I notice but I'm not naturally inclined to click on it.

I would try putting a 768x90 text leader board centered across the top between the navigation menu and the start of the listings and see how that helps. Get rid of the current top one you have and then seriously consider changing the side one you have to text based. Actually they should both be text based as for whatever reason it's been proven people are more likely to click on WELL blended text ads than they are to click on flashing banners.

Like was already said go with adsense and not adbright. It's not worth your time to promote adbright at this point in the game.

You can try using the wider skyscraper instead of a normal one, and put it on the left side (this will help) instead of the right. If you want to you can also add a large rectangle (embedded with your content or something), that would probably get you more clicks.

 

My blog has had some serious reductions in profits too....

One channel has 870ish page views (600 uniques) $0.00

My Favorite format is 336x250, image only. It will attrack more visitor to click the image, rather then the text.
