Please check out my adsense placement on my blog Homes of the Rich.

I have a leaderboard at the very top, before the posts. I havea 300 x 250 rectangle on the sidebar. I have a 480 x 90 rectangle at the top right.

    thanks.

I think a simpler template will be better for the site. The ads do not merge well, as the color for other links differs .

I cant see any 480 x 90 rectangle at the top right, what i see is one skycrapper at the left side bar and 1 small banner at the bottom. Anyway, it is better to change the small banner ads to rectangular ads and remove them to either inside the post or in between the post

    1. Remove your background. It will make your visitors go away. You can set your background to black, white or orange to suite your layout you are using at the moment.
    2. The AdSense ads are perfectly placed. My recommendations for you are to change the border of your ads to match the background, in this case to white.
you'll see better results in clicks and better looking design.
    3. you might want to change the url color of your ads to orange too; make this changes and make sure you have traffic to your site; this should be a winner.

    :)
