My Banner on site with 20k UV / per day , How many clicks i can expect ?

    I am going to advertise on the site with 20k-30k daily unique visitors, around 80 000 hits and average 10-12 page views per visitor.

    My banner size will be 550x60 in the middle of the site (gif or flash)

    How many clicks i can expect from this site?
    Does anybody have experience with such advertising?
    Need some suggestions!

    It all depends to be honest with you. Ask the website owner what the average CTR (Click Through Rate) is for such banner.

    It also depends on the relevence of your banner and the website it links to ,to the relevence of the webpage your advertising it on.If there similar i.e an adult banner on an adult website expect a high CTR if not then expect lower figures.

    It all depends on the users who visit that site, ultimately they are going to click ur banner. If it is related to the similar niche you may get lot of clicks

    I have Classifieds site and the site where i am going to put my banner is Newspaper website , and with very popular classifieds section too, but banner will be visible at the news page

    Then i should expect you will recieve a fairly good ctr,majority will be going to see the news,however some going to place an classified ad,there is a good chance they will click on your banner,so again it depends on the proportion of visitors looking at news to the proportion going to post an ad

    1% Is actually terrible CTR, anything less than 10% is terrible to be honest.
