My BG color is white but it shows tan color in photoshop??

    I just got photoshop oppened it up and my background color is a tan, when the color is set to #ffffff or white. But when i save as jpg then it becomes a white, can anyone please help.

    jpg never accepts transperant color...

    try png or gif for getting transperant BG... :)

    All you have to do is go to Image >> Mode >> RGB Color. How do you save your image? And what extension do you save it in?

    Did you ever try re-installing Photoshop?

    Make sure all of your settings are at default, you might have messed something up.

    Make sure your "white" color isn't replaced by a custom color that you chose when being careless and quickly choosing a "near" white color.

    No hvae never thought about a re install, but i am on white, because in the rgb it is 255 255 255.

    #ffffff is the hexadecimal value for white. (and because of this post i just wrote a function to convert hexadecimal to rgb in php lol) anyways back on subject, check your color profile in the preferences.

    yes i know hat is the hexidecimal version, and i played around a bit with the preferences and it finnaly turned white, thanks alot ot everyone that tried to help.
