My Blog and AdSense = Oil and Water

So...my blog only rakes in an impressive $1-$2 a week from AdSense and have decided to experiment with other programs.

I took down AdSense on my front page and put up Text Link Ads instead (top left) and already sold one link.

I also tried Adbrite last week but $0 and irrelevant links so will probably take that down. Before I totally give up on AdSense though, wondering if anyone has any suggestions for placement?? Right now I just have it within posts.

How many uniques do you get a day?
You can't expect alot of clicks if you don't have tons of visitors.

A google ad right below "Previous Entries" would work well.

Also try link units underneath your header.

At the top right before the first entry i'd recommend 2 square ads.

Also link units on the side bar.

I would also recommend clearing up the page - its a little cluttered. Make a boundary between the sidebars and the content.

 

I would suggest you to use 250x250 or 468x60 in your single post.php and use it soon after Title of your post.

Then add one of these formats soon after post finishes. I have good results with 250x250 - Good Luck

 

The main suggestion for you is put more articles and more text in articles. And other thing you just talk about adsense and other such advertising media. Try writing technical articles or business related ones. And apply adsense, nothing is better than that.

Work hard and earn.
