    Okay, well... don't quit your day job :D

    BUT don't give up either!!

    Photoshop is hard to use let alone master. You're doing pretty well for just getting started, just keep at it - more you try the more you'll learn.

    Just keep trying different things and cranking out images - you'll start to get a hand of the standard tools and a feel for the basic functions, filter settings etc.

    Once you're pretty comfortable getting it to do what you want it to do, you can try immulating the styles of other designers, ads, posteds, DVD covers websites etc - just to expand your skills.

    At the beginning Photoshop tutorials aren't a bad idea - they give you the step-by-step instructions and take the guesswork out of it all, and at the same time, you're always free to deviate from the tutorial and toss in your own style/flare.
