    Hey Guys,

This is my first site so take it easy on me. I just recently added some ads to my site, and so far I'm not getting many clicks. My eCPM is at about $1 right now, and I was hoping I could get some advice about my ad placement. Any advice would be great.
    My site is:
    http://www.playthetouch.com

    thanks guys,
    Teubs

Reduce the font size of your opening material. The meat of your information starts way too far down, think about getting to the heart of the matter much more toward the top of the screen.

I would not label my very first adsense ad as a LINK because it is not. The key with Adsense is blending. Learn how to blend background colors so the ad appears natural.

Learn how to keep a good amount of "air" around the ad as well. If you tuck the adv in too tightly with your content, you reduce the opportunity for clickthroughs. Give the ads room to breathe within your content.

Put ads between each post. Try to blend it so it looks like part of your website as much as possible. Change the color of the ad titile to the color of your link and change the ad background so it matches your website.

Ok, I've mad many of the changes you suggested. I just finished changing the layout of my sites. I completely got rid of the sidebar (which didn't work well with the IPod touch anyway) and integrated the ads more with the content. Right now I'm tinkering with the space between the ads and the content as well as the ad's colors. Thanks for your guys' help I really appreciate it! Also, I heard from someone that there was a legal issue with having my ads so close to games... is this true? and, if it is, how far should I keep it from the games?

    thanks,

The font is way to big. I suggest putting your adds on the side of the screen. It looks to plain for anyone to remember the site. I think you should have a theme for the site so people well know what your about. If not some may just skip on by if it has no interest to them. Also I suggest more pages and topics.

Overall you could get somewhere with the site if you just a little more work into it.

OK, now it looks like the ads are driving the whole page. It's one thing to want to participate in Adsense within your area of expertise, it's another thing to drape a subject around advertisements. Got it that this is your first site, but the best advice is focus on the subject matter. Forget about Adsense and create a couple of great pages of information. When you are happy with the subject material, create a site/page design as best you can to show off the information. Once you are really convinced you have done the best you can, then it is easy to figure out how and where to plug in some ads professionally.
