Hi, I created a sitemap for my site yesterday using Google Sitemaps.
Prior to that only my index page was showing on Google.
There are about 30 pages to my site and they are all on the sitemap.
The status of the Sitemap is showing as OK on Google Sitmaps.
When I click on statistics the Successfully crawled bar is on about 95% green - but there are no errors.
The problem I have is that still only my index page is indexed - when will all the other pages be added?

    Thanks, Teeny

This may take a little bit to get all of your pages included. Give it about two weeks to a month before you determine if there is an error. The fact that Google is successfully crawling your pages is testament to the sitemap doing it's part.

There are a ton of factors involved with indexing a page including quality code, quality content, quality links to you. The sitemap is a notification to Google (Yahoo, all other SE's), but what happens after they are notified is controlled by a million other factors (give or take a dozen or so) :)

Many sites are picked up within a week, but others may take a little longer. If you're not indexed within a month, you may need to address the other SEO factors involved.

There is no guarantee at all.
Google index only those pages which it thinks as useful according to their own algo.

    Hmm...
I did my sitemap a few weeks back.
Whilst it uploaded and was read ok, no data so far and not yet in googles index.
    The wait continues....

    Hi,
I also created a sitemap for my site yesterday using Google Sitemaps.
Prior to that I olso only the index page and 20 other page that are removed from my server about six months ago was showing on Google.

Right now I have 2000 pages pages on my site and I included them all on the sitemap.
The status of the Sitemap is showing as OK on Google Sitmaps too.
    without any errors.
However i have the same situation that after 24 hours i dont see any new pages beeing indexed. From 1994 pages only my homepage is indexed although many pages has a pr of 4 by the Google toolbar, but I don't see them in the indexed pages.

I think it is obvious that goggle has serious issues with indexing pages.
I have 299 incoming links to my site including Yahoo directory and despite all of this I have one page indexed.

What should I do wait ? Thanks Laszlo the inkjet cartridge guy.
