i thought i would never get spam... have only given out my gmail email to a select few people but have used it as signup email for

ebay, etrade, digitalpoint and a few others...

how on earth did the spammers find me????

on my website i put the email address in an image so that the bots could not pick it up..

You'll also find spammers do mass mailings to random addresses, I've had spam in accounts that don't even exist, slimeballs

The only thing that seems to spam my gmail is Microsoft. I signed up for a newsletter months age, and they keep sending me stuff, even though I unsubscribed various times...

Yeah, random blocks of letters are strung together and emails are just fired off by the million using the zombie-pc networks available for the job. Some are bound to hit the target.

I get spammed on an address I only used for e-bay ever since I signed up on e-bay. It isn't often, but it tells me they sell to their "partners".

No kidding, I get emails to "something"@the-party.org all of the time. I think that once spammers find a domain that works they just go for it.....
