    I am going to go take one of my first yoga sessions tomorrow morning is there anything i need to know eg the basics? And I’ve been told that its better to go in with an empty stomach is this true?

    I dont know about having a empty stomach but with any actitivite or sport you should not start it with a full stomach.

    Beginner Yoga Class Dos and Don'ts

    Don't...

    • have a big meal right before class. Have a light meal a few hours before class starts so that your stomach isn't grumbling during class.
    • bring a water bottle and drink water during class, also have some water both before and after class.
    • wear tennis shoes or socks during class - go barefoot.
    Do...

    • review the guidelines of the class beforehand so that you feel comfortable.
    • give the teach a heads-up about this being your first class - more than likely you won't be the only one.
    • ask for help if you are confused about a pose
    ;)

    When I had attended yoga classed I was asked to give a gap of atleast 3 hrs time from my previous meal & then join the class.
