I am paying NZD35 p.m. (around USD30) for 1mbps speed for the first 1GB of data and then between 56 - 256kbps for the rest. I have two computers hooked to a wired LAN ADSL router.

Damn.. Is that something that is standard in Vietnam? The door to door collection? I should do that here. With all the dead beats out there, it would be a lovely suprise showing up at their door to collect my money. It's very difficult to get people in America to pay their internet bills.

Man, I would love to go to some peoples doors.. What a surprise that would be. I'd have to bring Gweedo with me though to make it a bit more convincing.

Oh, and my iNet bill was somewhere around $8k, not including all my other telco related crap... Adding another 100Mbit TimeWarner connnection, so I should be set for a while!

If you have a connection like that, it's worth it to share it with a network. I don't think a computer alone can handle that !

    Between 4 to 5mbps download speed and 384kbps upload speed - $50/month.

I want the Verizon Fios Fiber service though but it's not even in our area. :(

From what i have read you wont really notice any diference in speed in normal web browsing after 8 meg. So you would have to be downloading music/movies etc to really feel the benefit of such a fast line. Just think if you maxed out a 1 gig connection you could download a full dvd in about a minute!

I've got you all pwned. I goto a college that charges $20 a year with a 100MB connection. On my days off, I can stay up here all day. I/O there is no time limit to how long you can use a computer & they're open from 6 AM till 2 AM.
