my photoshop acting up need help

    hello everyone
    im having an issue with photoshop cs4, suddenly the colors just vanished and all colors come up either black or white or a variation of both,i was having a display driver error but that notice later dissapeared,i would hate to reinstall..anyone know why im just getting everything in Black and white??

    When you create a new document, in the color mode dialog box, does it say grayscale mode? If so change it to RGB or something else and that will fix it. I know that's happened to me a few times before.
