My placement seems stale ... advice?

My software download site revenue hasn't been increasing with the traffic. Some changes were made recently to decrease the MFA ads and that seems to help a bit, but the placement probably could be a bit better.

I also run a non-Google ad in my sidebar.

    Thanks in advance -

I've been specializing in high traffic software download sites for several years now, the reason why your site isn't succeeding is because you're using the pad kit, so are 2000 other sites.

I have several high traffic sites, one of them being www.filecart.com

If you want to succeed in the download site business you need to either build your own engine or purchase one that's not freely available.

Thanks transitnetwork --- I want to talk to you some more !!

Do you really see PADkit when you look at that site? I would say that this PADkit code is around 1% of my total site code. I have added so much to it - like each page has distinct META tags for description, title, and keywords. Also, the basic PADkit only imports about 15 fields to the database from the PAD XML file, I import almost the whole thing (desc_80, desc_450, desc_2000, expiry_info, expiry_date, ... and many other fields) and use these values where they make the most sense for content. Furthermore, each page has content of similar listings. Even though my site is less than 2 yrs old, it appears above many of the established basic PADkit sites due to my META tags and better content. I would argue that my site his quite high organic SERPs.

Another enhancement to the basic PADkit code is my polling procedure that scans for broken links as well as PAD XMLs that are returning 404's. If it fails twice, the value is automatically removed.

I visited filecart.com - and it appears to be based on PAD submissions also, but it is more strict. My site accepts most submissions - for more content.

So, what you're saying has a lot to do with the META tags and not the layout / placement perhaps??

I think that you can also try some link units under the menu, what do you think?

If you think that they would do better than the 468x60 text ads, I would do that -- my bro says that he even know that they are google ads, yet he accidently clicks the link unit as more frequently... I never seem to make that mistake, but I can see how it might help.

So, would you suggest that under the main menu - to replace the the 468x60 text ad with a 728x15 link unit (or even 468x15)?

I am waiting on your advice since this area is one of my better performing placements, but I never had the link unit in that location by itself.
