Yeah this week isn't so good.

Sunday night me and my girlfriend both got arrested. (I'll write that story up).

    Last night puppies ran away.

Tomorrow surgery. (I had my days wrong and actually thought it was today).

It could always be worse though. I could have been drugged and robbed by tranny hookers. http://www.clickondetroit.com/irresistible/5323408/detail.html

That's what I use as a baramoter. I think it's a good saying. Things could always be worse. You could have been drugged and robbed by tranny hookers.

Yep they will more then likely come back for steak smells and you might want to get some tomato soap to keep on hand. Mine came back after swimming in a rancid ditch, rolling in fish and playing chicken with a shunk. I learned that a bungee cord attached to each side of the fence is a good idea when wind storm season is here. The gate locks will break under the tugging of the wind but the bungee cord at the bottom will keep them from flying off.

You should contact Dallas Fort Worth Labrador Retriever Rescue too. Not all missing dogs end up in shelters, they could end up with a Lab lover who may be watching over the pups while they look for you.

I sure hope you find your puppies.

    Wow that sucks hodge...

I had my golden retriever get away from me several years ago... Spent several days trying to find him putting up flyers, going to shelters, looking around. Never did find him. Hope your pups turn up in good health. Hope jail is not too bad.. and hope your surgery goes well..

But I also hope you get beat up by a tranny hooker after all that other stuff turns out okay.

Black bug's advice is spot on. That really sucks Hodge. You must feel sick with worry. I hope you find them and believe that the chances are that they will make it back on their own.

My neighbour just lost his six month or so old presa. Serves him right though. She was a beauty, sweet as anything too. He just chucked her out in the morning and left her out on her own all day. She was a regular visitor at my house and was always starving. I just hope she found someone to appreciate her.

Back to your own pups though. Have you tried calling the radio station? Perhaps your local station would announce the two lost lab puppies. Someone will have seen them and could call in to say where.

Hope the surgery is nothing too serious too. It is a bummer when our forum clown has nothing to smile about.

I think Hodge lives in the D/FW area.. No radio station here is going to announce a plea for a lost dog. :(

If I seem them run by my house though, I will let you know.

My girlfriend called the shelter and they said yes they have 2 labs that they picked up this morning. We go up there and they did have 2 dogs together in a pen, but they weren't even remotely labs.

Damn, what a kick in the stones. :(

Are you sure you saw the dogs the person on the phone was referring to?

Man, I'd be spitting bones at them!

But like Rob said... they were the right dogs, yes?

Yeah we saw them. The lady said they're in the second or third pen on the left. We start walking down the left side and there's two dogs in the second pin, but they were not even labs. On was black and white and the other was red and white. One was male.

On the phone my girlfriend said one black, one choc lab both females. The lady said yup we have your dogs.

So we kept walking and walked all around the pens. We go back to the front and said those aren't are dogs. The woman said oh sorry. The other woman that worked there said those aren't labs.

Yeah it was a little frustrating. My girlfriend said shouldn't you have to know breeds or at least colors to work at a shelter.

We filed a report and gave them the pups names, Coco and Lady Deathstrike. We just call her Lady for short though.

If you have water nearby, I'd look there. Labs love the water. When I was a kid, mine used to run away for a day or so on occasion, then come back like nothing happened.

Now I have 2 shiba inus, if they get away, I don't think they'd ever come back.

I miss living out in the country. We never had to put our dogs in fences or on a chain. They would just run free. You might not see them all day sometimes, but they'd be back in the afternoon. Sometimes you'd be driving to town and see them several miles away from the house, but they'd always be back home.

The only problem we ever had was one time my chow-lab mix came up missing and our lab showed up with its chest ripped open. I came home and the lab was facing away from me sitting. I walked up and it turned around and there was a huge hole that you could have stuck a nerf football in its chest. We took it to the vet and it fully recovered.

Some people in the area said they saw a panther, which I said was probably a dark mountain lion. I hadn’t ever seen a mountain lion in the area and I even went tracking for the dog and didn’t come across any tracks. There are bobcats in the area, and I found bobcat tracks, but a bobcat couldn’t have killed that chow mix and injured the lab like that. They just don’t get big enough in the wild.

Here you don't know if someone is just going to keep your dog or they might get ran over.

That's what I would be most worried about. Especially since labs are much sought after.

Yeah that's what I'm worried about since they're both purebreeds and the Chocolate is really pretty.

No luck with the puppies. We contacted some other shelters, put out flyiers, and talked to the neighbors.

One neighbor said, "Yeah if they ran away last night I'm sure some one snatched them up."

Which is what I think happened.
