    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

My situation, no domains, small sites (for now).

    Hi,

Basically here is the situation I'm in. Currently I'm only using google adsense/google referals I have about six sites pushing these ads :

    - 3 are blogs
    - 3 are web sites
    - some of the web sites link back to some of the blogs
    - some of the web sites link to each other

My big concern is I don't have a TLD, I'm using free hosting. BUT, the free hosting is pretty good - they don't run ANY ads of their own.

This may seem like a dumb question but , should I wait till I get a TLD so I can bring all these sites under one domain to "get serious" or am I in "ok" shape now ?

I know the free host have bandwidth limitations and etc, that's part of the reason I'm trying to spread it out through blogs. And I've made sure none of my web sites are graphics intensive so I can keep a low bandwidth overhead.

None of these sites can be found via search engines yet. One of them has a .cjb redirect that's been up for over a year but it's not pulling any traffic (ive yet to get good at the search engine game). But for the most part the only exposure I have to the world is via myspace (sad huh). I have a few myspace profiles (some in reference to their sister sites directly, like "the official myspace of") and I've put in work with my myspace networking.

Anyhow, how does all this sound ?

Sorry for being so general, any feedback is welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

why don't you just move to a cheap but decent paid host? the adsense earnings would pay for the hosting...

Would you want anyone to remember your url ?...

If yes, then the answer is obviously that you need your own tld. Or rather 6 ;)

Hosting is dirt cheap no matter what level you want in on. Just fork out those 100$ it costs to have 6 x tlds (.info's) and 1 years hosting for all your sites. Or spend 120$ and get .coms for the lot :)

Anyways I would say it is well worth the cost

Would you have any problem doing a redirect to your own domain if you continue to use those sites?

There seems to be a growing consensus that the age of a domain is one of the factors Google uses. That would imply the sooner you buy your domain the better.

And domain names are being scooped up every day, diminishing the pool of available names for you to register.

I'ma get a TLD and some hosting soon but I'm literally dead broke.

I think I have 35 cents on the counter.

But money is on the way and the top priority is to get a TLD, something I keep forgetting to do.

    Thanks for the feedback yall
