My web server plays video very slow. PLEASE HELP.

    Dear friends,

    I need your help. I have a news website. My all news is in MP4 and FLV format. I have a dedicated web server. I installed XAMPP and all my web files (PHP) and video files are here. I have a iOS apps that call video from this server too. But the problem is, the video plays very slow. I don't know what is the problem. I think I need streaming web server (not sure).

    Please advice me what can I do for faster-smooth video play/stream.
    Do I need separate web server (for web site) & streaming server (to host video)?
    You can also advice me the web services provider that gives this services, that is reliable, stable, faster etc.

    My current server configuration is:
    -----------------------------------
    Pentium E 2,0 GHz, Dual Core
    2 RAM
    500 SATA2 HDD
    Windows 2008 Web Edition

    BANDWIDTH AND MONTHLY TRANSFER
    Monthly transfer allocation: enough & very good
    Port Speed: 100 mbps

    You could probably try another web host, or enable compression somehow. It's either your setup, or your connection to your server.
