They're suing him for phishing AND creating 11k accounts.

 

Myspace is deleting lot of profiles these days,even a genuine profiles also.

I deleted my legit MySpace account a while back, mostly due to the lameness factor of MySpace, among other reasons.

I looked at setting up some phony accounts, but it seemed that it would be against their TOS, so I didn't bother with it. Obviously, many people are getting away with it, but what you put up there is ultimately their property, so they can do whatever they want with it.

 

They actually changed their T&C to reflect that they don't actually own your content, because a lot of major labels and movie production companies were scared of posting their content there with that policy in place.

 

I didn't realize they had such a policy in place to begin with! Seems rather odd that they would do so...I mean what about photography...how could they claim that???

 

MySpace is trying to crack down on fraud accounts...unfortunately their system is flawed. You can't be upset if a fraud account is deleted though thats just the risk you run.

P.S. Friend trains are a good way to add tons of friends. See my blog for an example.

 

They have been cracking down on dating site affiliate marketing. It seems that "acceptable" advertising consists usually of bands promoting themselves or clubs, etc.

 

only the latter if the band severely limits their "promotion".

I can't tell you how many "deleted" accounts that I have seen in my inbox, 72.4% of them are bands! and this has been since the massive crackdown on "spam"

I've always found that quite ironic since MySpace was ALL about the music at one point...or at least it was a large part of the MySpace fabric.

 

My many accounts, I make it so bands cant add me or message me. I try to rotate the ads I place on them so as to not get flagged. I have had all my accounts for years some with only a few 1000 some with much more, i just accept people on a few and post thanks and the I get more people askin to be my friend. If they close my accounts it wont affect me, i just post ads in my free time...
Just use a bot to add friends at the start...but make sure you have more pageviews than friends...I wouldnt be suprised if that would trigger a flag from myspace...all my accounts have 10,000 plus views per 1000 friends....But I dont know this for a fact. But if I owned myspace I would make it so.

I think it depends who you add on the page views thing. If you're just after a lot of friends...the people that add you don't necessarily look @ your page before they do so. So in some instances you can certainly have more friends than views. I don't think it's hard and fast that the two correlate but thee is value in having more views than friends like you say though.

Multiple accounts from 1 email

Account with thousands of friends andd no legitimate comments just spam in their comments.

Accounts inactive for 60 days

 

you can't have multiple accounts from 1 email

like they're really going to take the time to examine 77billion comments and then determine what constitutes spam or not

 

They probably have flags that can be triggered and then go from there.

 

if they had flags, wouldn't they have them in place already?

I haven't checked my account in 36 hours...no friggin telling how many spam comments I have waiting for me to delete them...why can't myspace meet me 1/2 way and disallow certain spam comments from being sent in the first place then???
