MySpace Marketing

I hear lot of people use MySpace successfully to get traffic. I am new in this. Can anybody explain please how I can utilize MySpace for getting traffic?

Well first thing I would do is to create a page for my business , make sure it is creative , something that makes you unique but at the same time communicates your (business) message to the myspace crowd . Then you start adding friends , start posting comments (get a widget designed and stamp in the comment field ) <= you need to make it really nice, otherwise you will be just like the other 5000 spammer on Myspace

Interact with people, figure out how is it not too pushy , this widget thing should do it, just make sure your widget is cool, pimp, web2.0 ..... etc .. and people will leave it on their profile in the comments .

 

Honestly I couldn't grasp the whole thing you said. Think its my lack of experience.

 

OK let's start out real simple:

1. Signup for myspace and get a URL like myspace.com/webcosmo

2. Make your profile pretty using one of the numerous myspace resource sites out there

3. Link to your site from your profile

4. Search for people that would be interested in your site and "add as friend"

5. Whenever someone accepts your friend request, "add a comment" on their page saying hi

 

Sign up for a Myspace A/c. Add lots of friends using a MySpace Robot that automatically adds friends. Put a girl's picture in ur profile, because it increases ur friend list.
Now after making about 1-2 k's of friends, think of them as ur targeted potential opt in list, whom u have to streamline for making sales from ur affiliate programs or other internet marketing deals. Bulletins postins, Message sending and such kind of things serve as ur weapon for MySpace marketing via ur MySpace profile.

In short, u have to harness the potential of the networking site and mint money in ur own smart techniques.

First line should read:
Sign up for a Myspace A/c. Add lots of friends using a MySpace Robot that automatically adds friends. Using the bot will then get your account deleted by MySpace so you can then start all over agian.




The rest of his advice is right on.

 

Myspace marketing is way oversaturated by now, IMHO you would have better success with other more natural ways of marketing your site.

I am doing natural ways of marketing. I like to utilize every avenue possible. Since my site is about classifieds I have to introduce it to as many as I can.

Facebook advertising might work a little bit better, as it's still relatively new.

myspace is a good way to get traffic but so is youtube, metacafe, yahoo videos, hi5 and many others - just leave comments or post videos.. the thing is .. it takes a while to build up your friends community but it will eventually give you lot of traffic...

Facebook marketing is a way to kill your brand. People don't get on there to do anything but to talk to friends and look at friends pictures or upload there own pictures they don't want anyone sending them messages as its harder to delete them on there. Plus you must add friends to send them anything and most people will not add a business or product profile or anyone they don't know for that matter because they have access to more personal info then myspace gives. Overall I think facebook is a negative thing to do unless done absolutely right.

 

How about technorati, I hear a lot about that.
