Myspace still working for you?

I went through this forum and I don't see any page talking about myspace. Does Myspace still work for anyone here as a traffic source and for SEO? I have about a lil over 1k friends on my facebook page and i was getting about 10 hits from myspace a day. So I figured If I keep adding friends and get 50k friends I will have 500 hits a day from myspace. What are your thoughts?

That's not exactly how it usually works, but you're probably in the ballpark. I say give it a shot, try some stuff out and see how it converts. Anywhere people gather there is a marketing opportunity. The problem with myspace is that it's been so spammed to death that the people left on there pretty much ignore anything they see resembling an ad. The only exception I see is myspace games and things like those glitter sites (to spice up your myspace profile) seem to still get a lot of traction with the users.

I say if it isn't costing you a lot of time and money to aqquire friends on there, then it's certainly worth a try. What are you trying to sell on there?

Yes, it still works, but the traffic in Myspace is no longer that overwhelming as compared before. These days, I only promote links on Myspace groups, and not on individual pages. I have switched to Facebook for it generates more traffic.

Myspace is working good for me since 2007. It directs nice web traffic towards your website.
