I have been seeing so much of myspace.. myspace these days. I am totally new to myspace and stuff related with myspace.

So I was just wondering how do people make money by setting up this myspace code generator sites, like glitter text, falling objects etc. And again in those sites if youa re giving code for people to link directly from your sites then won't the bandwidth usage be too high and you will be just paying for it.

How it can be encashed. Need your valuable suggestions and ideas. Is it a good idea to start such a site ? What are the pros and cons (if any)

    Thanks in advance.

myspace sites generally dont make much off of adsense or other type programs, but they can however bring in some decent cash from other sales. IMO the market right now is over saturated with myspace sites and it would be very difficult to enter the myspace niche now and try to compete. people that got in early are doing fine, but i wouldn't start one now.

I agree with Judd, there are way too many Myspace sites, I would wait and look for the next big thing. I don't think myspace will be this popular for too long. Something else will come along.

I would agree with the rest here, there is just too much 'me-too' sites around catering to the group so unless they do offer something different, it would be a matter of time before everything mellow down.

From what I see, the main money made is probably selling advertising spots and for some scripts, the aim is to blend in Adsense and YPN banners so that it looks like contents of the site so as to someone get surfers to click on them to earn an income. I am not sure if that is right but it is being done. Otherwise, I doubt people will just go click banners.

This market is way oversaturated, you would probably have success with something else.

Unless you can rank on the first page of all the major search engines for the myspace keywords -- don't even bother. The sites on the first and 2nd page are all over a year old nad have 25,000+ backlinks.

if you are referring to myspace train website's as well, you can make profit off of people payig say around $6 a day to be featured as Number 1 person on the train. That is how they get more adds, and you sometimes can get more money. Take www.friendstorm.net for an example.

One thing I really don't understand is that Myspace, the way I look at it, is just about getting to know people and most are teens, why would people want to pay to be featured as Number 1 for the day ?

Besides, wouldn't someone looking for lots of friends just be adding everyone on the list, if possible and not just the one at the 1st position ?

Many people have gotten famous off of myspace. The more friends you have the more music, pictures etc... you can promote. A good example of this is the girl named Forbidden.

Myspace is quite over saturated atm. (unless you can think of and program new tools and come up with new things that myspace users would like to pimp their profiles...those glitters and all are just everywhere)

Honestly, I'd spend that energy somewhere else. :)
