When you develop website probably you do some link building. Afterwards, you might do some more campaigns. At one point you might decide to leave it on its own. So, for one my website I've did link building and it got some position in SERPs, and it is getting some traffic through search engines and links. But, what about natural growth?!?

If you have quality content you probably think that your number of backlinks grows over time. But, for my websites with quality content I'm unsatisfied with its natural growth. Only few (1-5) of 10000 visitors will bring link back to website. What is your experience about natural growth? Do you think that website has its limits?

I mean my main website had growth rate of 5-40% monthly. It doesn't contain user generated content. But, I've got feeling that it will reach its limit after few months. It will get stable ranking in SERPs, few backlinks each month which will bring 100 new visitors (which is very slow growth rate).

What is your natural growth rate? What do you think is good natural growth rate? I think that only websites with user generated content (wikis, social, forums) have opportunity to have good natural growth over time.
