Need advice for domain.

I have domain name ittags dot com, it's a nice domain but I don't know what to do with it, it used to be a social bookmarking website but all traffic comes from India and it was all spam. I tried to sell feature article space and with 90k members not a single sale, so I assume it's all bots posting, right now it's 600k alexa and loosing rank every day. I don't want to sell it because it's a nice five letter name, unless of course the right offer comes along, any advice?

 

Its not true that all traffic from India will be spam just look on internet every big site having 2nd traffic from India.

Thanks for the info, only thing is, I want to remove the forum and put something else on there, Mabey something to do with bitcoin? Something other then article or forum script, I also own debt.creditcard and ideas what I can do with this? I heard new tld are bad with seo

 

Hi, The idea is alright behind it but it's just spam. The rank does not count if it is all spam and soon it will be gone. If you want it to make money
work on the website, install spam blockers and control the traffic. Create a revenue model for it and then start generating traffic. Once you have that
you might receive an offer for it. I doubt if anyone would offer actually anything for this right now.

 

Yeah I agree, but is a forum the right thing for this domain? Mabey something else will work better, creating websites and the work required is harder then I thought since I have a fulltime labour job, but I didn't know this before I bought about 50 domains

 

You bought 50 domains just for fun of it? But honestly it might payoff someday do not get rid of them so fast, specially if any of them is close to a brand name or something.
of course website management is a full time job, but you still can do it. Do not give up so fast. I think a forum would be good choice but social share platform is now a better option.
Search for them, and see if you can start a social share platform.

Thanks for the info, I had domain flipping in mind, that's why I have 50 domains, but they are not so easy to let go after I managed to earn $3,000 after a post on one of them went viral with over a million
facebook shares, lucky thing I had ads in place. What are some good parking methods? Some automated affiliate content? Since I have a fulltime job I only have time to manage 1 or 2 websites, but what to do with the rest?

 

I agree. Just because they're coming from India, it doesn't mean it's spam.

 

ITTags.com is generic, and to be honest, says nothing.
It would be like setting up a site on a domain that means nothing....
Even though it is short in nature, I would not even offer a dollar for it.
and I am just being honest, of course it could be worth something
to someone else that may have some real use for it....I would
never just buy a random domain and just slap whatever on it....

 

I believe it can still be recoverable, you can filter traffic from bots or certain countries you want to exclude on your analytics.

 

I don't think ITTags.com is anything special. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if I stumbled upon it and it was available. With that said...Over the years I have bought many great sounding domain names that I have done nothing with. Why have I done nothing with them? Because you don't register a domain name THEN come up with a concept. You come up with a concept first then register a name. My best advice to you is to shift your focus and come up with a concept first then register an appropriate name. Forget about ITTags.com. It's not a domain that needs to be used.
