    How would you do this?

    I need a site where end users could quickly register and send me info about their company (inventory, equipment - whatever) and then that info I can funnel to my "buyers" also members of the site.

    Would a simple wordpress with some plugins do the trick? or is it more extensive than that?

    Well it's not that hard. Think about it..

    1- have a login script where someone can create an account (as well as edit it).
    2- on the account page, have it so they can add/edit inventory. That should be simple PHP
    3- have a page that outputs all the companies, then by clicking on the company it shows their products.

    Not sure if you will be able to do this from 100% scratch, but I know you can find login codes from codecanyon.net
