Need Advise to Start A Website

Hi,

We are three friends and looking to start a website like fiverr.

we are looking advise that the decision is right to compete with them.

 

There are hundreds if not thousands fiverr-like sites, all trying to compete with it. I have signed up in about five such sites including fiverr and to tell the truth, much of my gigs are ordered from fiverr. Reason? fiverr commands more traffic than the others. So, if you want your site to do well, get more traffic from REAL buyers and sellers. -Just my opinion.
Additionally, start small instead of starting big at the moment. If your site proves promising, then you can expand it. I also had this idea, consider starting a site that focuses on your local area or country. This has several advantages (story for another day). ........ And again- just my opinion.

 

I wouldn't compete directly against fiverr, I don't see a very good outcome with this strategy. Try to come up with a new idea that hasn't been done yet, and find an amazing programmer that can make it happen (who won't steal your idea in the process).

 

Create a site that contains subject related and that subject should highly searchable and do seo then a time surely come when your site would have a huge traffic. Then apply for sponsor ads and that will give you huge amount.

 

I would say, go for it. If you do not try, you will never know. You need to promote it as much as you can, to make it well known before you see some results.

 

I'd never go for such a crowded niche. Fiverr is giant and there are like 1000's of its copies...

Well thanks for your advises.. I searched about these website and found 30 most promising website doing good in this field. I will think about it before make the decision
