    Design sucks a bit, because it's writed for lower resolution screens..
    I'd recommend Coppermine from Open Source solutions for a photos.

    You need a whole new design for your site.

    I suggest You use Joomla for cms site and then you can get a few nice plugin/modul/component from photo gallery.
    i.e.: 'www.travelkefalonia.com/photo-gallery/kefalonia-photo-gallery.html'

    Gallery 2 - which is a free open source picture gallery solution.
    Coppermine, which is like gallery 2.
    Wordpress with the nextgen gallery and a ratings plugin.

    Any of those 3 should be able to do what you need.

    Wordpress is great, I am maintaining a software as a service platform broadKast.me also
    You can either install your own but then you end up paying hosting or you can create at broadKast.me for free and enjoy the same benefits and great photo weblog themes.
