    nice site

    IMO I think a text banner ad at the end of each article would look and work better
    or a large rectangle at the end of each article

    Center your vertical ad and make the background white, same with the ad above it, id place another ad in that spare white space running through it instead of the smaller one used at the top.

    Are you getting decent traffic?
