This is where i get confused. I read somewhere that you must blend the ads with the site.

So what should i change? the background color? the links?

    thanks for the input!

Hmm well I totally disagree.. I think your ad's should be blended into the site not stand out..

FIrst of all i think your ad's in between posts are way to big and make them alittle smaller..also try some ads on the side, try and make then blend really well:cool: :D

    thanks mmd for the suggestion.

    now i am more confused!

agreed on making the box ads a bit smaller...

not sure about the 'stand out' and 'blend well' suggestions yet

I go the opposite way and make my ads stand out a bit....reverse the colors of the ad block -- to be honest going through your site i barely notice the ads as it looks like text. Since your site is photos/tutorials people are going to be drawn to the images and away from the text, but if you ad block is a different color it will draw the eye and that should get you some clicks. Play around with different colors and see if they work for you.

I would also try to ad a block of ads on the right or left side bar -- i have had a lot of luck with ad's on the left of my site.

Ad placement is great. However, because the links are grey.. the ads itself just look like text content. Try changing your ad link color to green instead.

I would possibly change the title of the ads to the green, and make the url and the text of the ads the grey.

Thanks guys, I've made the changes you suggested:

    1) Changed the box to 300X250 (from 336X280)
    2) Changed the URL and Ad link to Green

How about in the forum section of the website? Is the leaderboard enough for a forum like this? I get an average of 1,033 pageviews (just the forums) a day

Thanks again guys for all your help!
