Need help with news links site..

    We built this site using RSS feeds and a database to store them and all it does it present the local news as culled from around the US as links. We don't really have many blocks of text on the page as it's not needed, however, I think this is affected our seo and AdSense ads. I often times see PSA's and items just not relevant is there anything I can do to help this in the eyes of you pros out there? We've had the page going for over a year now and really don't know what to do with it. Should we just forget about AdSense and go with something else and market it a bit better?

    Just under the latest news items. Don't worry, noone else sees it either. ;)

    I'll be moving it to the top of the page in a different format to make it easier to see. Overall, I just don't know what to do with the site. I thought it was a grand idea to have all of the more interesting local news in one spot and it is fun to read, I just can't figure out how to market it better or make any dough off of it.

    We really use it more as a tool to find good news to post to another one of our sites which has a listing of interesting links for the day, The Local Extra has a script we built that sends the news link and title over to that page with a click. So I don't want to get rid of it exactly, just seeing if I should even bother with AdSense as I don't think it's able to figure out what the context of the site is seeing that it is mainly links.
