    Hello,

Mods, i would kindly ask you not to put this in BST. There are very few EngineExpression developers around, and im finding a hard time finding one, and i thought this place would be good.

I have the following features that I want present on a job board. I would like to use EE. I will try to explain as best as possible what I would like.

There will be absolutely no employer registration or jobseeker registration. Employers post jobs without having to register, but something should be done to reduce spam such as CAPTCHA.

There is no ecommerce or any transactions taking place. Employers can't re-edit there job posts.

In the employer posting form, it will have these sections:

    Job Title:
    Company Name:
    City: [which they type in]
State/Province: [which is a pull down menu]
Categories: [for this, the employer can choose multiple categories. Please see here http://jobs.gawker.com/post under 'categories' so you can see what I mean. I mean check boxes.]
Job Description: [this will be a large text box. Please see here http://jobs.gawker.com/post . Only text. No bold or italics.]
How to Apply: [same as above, but with smaller text box].

I had to tell you the employer form so you can understand the next things.

Everything from now on is about the front page.

The front page will be divided into 3 parts:

    [1] Search options box
[2] Categories - List jobs by categories
[3] Latest Job Listings - from all categories

    To explain these further:

[1] Search options box: Lets pretend that the search option box looks similar to the one on top here http://www.dottnetjobs.com/. This one has:

[What Text Box] [Where text box] [country pull down menu]

    What I want is:

[What text box] [Job Category Pull down menu] [State/Province pull down menu]

The search will search every field that was written by the employer (including job title)

[2] Categories - List jobs by categories: These will just be text links of the different categories, in two columns. Very similar to the two columns you see here http://www.careeradvance.co.uk/ . These are the categories that the employer chooses. When you click on one, it gives you the jobs in the job listing format that I will tell you. This job listing format is the same format that they will be listed as in [3].

[3] Latest Job Listings - from all categories: So for here, I want my job listings to look similar to here http://jobs.gawker.com/newmediajobs/ . So it will be
Date posted | Job Title | Company | City, state . I want the look of the listings to look similar to what you have on http://jobs.gawker.com/newmediajobs/. But I want the date to be posted for every job. I also want for example for only 20 to be listed on the front page, and then we have page 1, 2, 3 ….. Next Page. You know what I'm talking about.

So when we click on a Category in [2], this is also how I want the listings to look like.
