Need review for low CTR website

Hi I am a partner in this website and we are having a very low CTR lately and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Here are a few things to try:

1. Blend your ads with the rest of your website. Right now, the Adsense links are black while your site links are green. Your Adsense link color should match the color of the links on your website.

2. Remove the title "Ads & Sponsors" from your Adsense ads.

3. You are hiding your Adsense ad block in the lower right hand corner. You need to move your ads to where people are looking. Place an adblock in the upper left of your content and wrap your text around it.

4. Add an Adsense adblock at the end of your content.

5. Add a hortizontal AdLink below your menu.

If you implement the above changes, you should see a nice increase in your CTR, page CPM and revenue.

Hey updated the website with some new ad placements and it has already increased my CTR by 2.5 percent so far for the day, anymore suggestions are appreciated also

 

1) Your contact link has dropped down on to a second line. The appearance and probably the CTR would be better if you fixed that.
2) I see you are using a 200x200 square on the sidebar. Could you fit a 250x250 square in that space?
3) I see you are using a half banner at the bottom of your content. You could try a square or rectangle in that spot and possibly put the "Mike Wallace is Mike Wallace is Editor-In-Chief of Nashville4u." info off to the right.

 

i was using firefox and it wasnt dropping the contact down but then checked it in IE and it dropped down, any idea on how to fix that?

 

You have no ads in the content - that is where the high CTR is at

 

Have switched up my ads a bit but CTR actually went down even lower now that I have changed. I am still changing them around daily to find the best CTR

 

why dont you try changing them to text ads...and half banners between paragraphs is not bad...

also try skyscraper on the left side...it has much space there...

 

Keep the content coming, and inbound one way links

 

move them up above the fold.
