Need some add placement Ideas

I need some ideas on how to adjust my AdSense adds. My click ratio is about .5% or 1 click per 200 visitors. I get the Idea it should be higher.

One of the main pages I would like to start with is http://www.topwebsitetips.com/FreeLinks-Directories.aspx

Once you get to the page choose a PR to sort the directories by, That will give you a better idea on the ads.

Feel free to give suggestions on any page but that one has my highest number of visitors.

    Thanks for the input.:)

Based on googles heat map I'd change your skyscraper into a 160px wide skyscraper, remove the borders to it, and put it on the left handside of your content (about 10px - 20px wide gap between the left hand side 160px skyscraper google ad and the content). Change your nav to the right hand side.

Put the ad which you have in the content into the top left hand corner of the content. .5% is really low.

I think that's pretty rare unless Google just doesn't have any ads to show in your area.

I would change thar banner in the center part of your page to horizontal banner at the top, just below ( 469 directories in database). I think it should increase your clickthrough

This is definitely not something I want to hear. Not sure if there is much I can do about it. I know I can substitute my own ad or banner when that happens, guess I'll have to create some banners for my other sites that I can have substituted when Google doesn't have an ad to put there.

What does everyone else do when this happens?

This happens when you choose a PR. When the directories show, the ads appear right above them.

A link unit above the article might also help
