    Hi,

I have a Traditional Chinese site/forum that gets over 1000 uniques a day and growing and I wanted to ask advice on the best way to monetise something like this.

Adsense is probably a nono and my experience with adbrite hasnt been too great.

    Does anyone have good ideas?

Unfortunately, American/European advertisers see Chinese traffic as mostly worthless. You will earn very little on Chinese or Middle Eastern traffic. Perhaps you could find a Chinese Advertising company? You could also try Adversal, but their rates for Chinese traffic are quite low, but probably more than you would make on Adsense or anywhere else.

Yeah, in fact I have another established site that is a leader in its niche, but again its in Chinese. Its a service so I earn with that on a subscription level but advertisement wise it really could do better.

With its targetted traffic, I think it would be bringing in much much more if it was in English.

I havent tried Adversal yet and will look into it.

I dont know of any Chinese advertisement companies ... hmm infact I might start one up myself lol.

    Any more views on this?

I am no expert in China, but you could try emailing companies whether they would be interested in advertising on your site, given that you have greater than 1000 uniques a day.

This is just a guess from my side. I assume teaching English is a pretty big business in China right, especially given that the Olympics are near. May be you could direct traffic to em :)
